SEO is the technique of optimizing your website so that it is displayed in the natural results of the search engines. The results are based on what the search engine believes are the most relevant websites for the search term given. It can take months even years to get to the top of the search engine rankings. The great thing about SEO is that when people click on your link it is FREE (you could receive a million clicks and not have to be an extra cent). Many factors effect a websites rankings including keywords, site content, and inbound links. When another site is pointing to your site, it is in essence telling the search engine that you are an authority on the subject given. And always remember that content is king. The more information on a site the more the search engine has to index in it's database.
Pay per Click (PPC)
This is the quickest way to start marketing your product or service. You can immediately place your self at the top of the search engines by bidding on keywords. When a word or phrase thay your advertising on is entered your Ad will appear on the search engine at no charge. Only when your ad is clicked on and the consumer actually visits your site are you then charged. These campaigns must be managed closely to ensure that you are bidding on terms that are giving you a return on your investment. Your bids should constantly be edited and multiple ads should be ran simultaneously to see which one is performing the best.
